ReviewsLan Gui Ren - Oolong Teathis is a very surprisingly delicious tea ! It has a very unique finish that resembles a black oolong (it may very well be a black oolong for all i know).. to me, it has a licorice type of finish

Jiao Gu Lan - Herbal TeaThis herb tea is interesting to me. The taste is mildly sweet like stevia or licorice root(gan cao), with lingering bitter flavor. The aroma is strong much like an herbal liqueur. Its claim as a longevity tonic can be disputed; but I do feel in better spirits when I drink this tea.

Long Jing - Green TeaThis is a nice longjing. Refreshing and honey aroma, and tastes like chestnuts, but it is too light for me.

Emperor Long Jing - Green TeaIf truth be told vie been looking forward to this one the most, partially because I'm a big time long jing fan, but also because i have had a lot of long jing this year so i was eager to try tea springs chief offering. As with all my reviews ill start with the dry leaf form. This is the smallest leafed LJ i have had in the last two years, tiny perfectly formed and symmetrically pressed leaves with a beautiful golden yellow colour. The leaves are also covered in a wonderful golden down, not ever seen this much down on a LJ before, its not amazing down like a bi luo chun or a yin zhen but it's impressive. First brew and tea has come out clear! Ie hot water. Oh dear me thinks, this maybe the joke of long jings me thinks. Looking into the wet leaves i can see almost all are still dry! This is an exceptionally flattened LJ, exceptionally produced I have to say. But it has produced just clear water, what's wrong? When i tasted it however Ahhhh, what a great taste! What a surprising strong taste, I taste smooth high edged flavours, medium nuttiness but amazing cereal complexities, I havnt had a Long Jing in the last two years which has had this ration of cereal loveliness. I have to say to conclude that this is a cracking and unique long jing, which i imagine some won't like at all. If your not into the nutty LJs and your not into the grassy LJs give this one a try, it's like taking your tongue to a granary and letting it play in the toasty wheat goodness. Will look forward to trying next years batch!

Bai Ji Guan - Oolong Teaone of my favorites oolongs. this year spring harvest is excellent, with its classic floral, honeyed taste. really recomendable but dont confuse it with a regular yan cha

Yi Xing Hong Cha - Black TeaThis is not a tea for novices. It also doesnt actually taste like a dian hong, and comparing it with yunnan golds is wierd. It tastes mostly like a Xiang Luo or a Chun Mee hongcha. Tart, very rich, with *very* nice mouthfeel. This tea is probably best approached gongfu, if you can manage it with the small leaves. Western brews tend to be indestinct in flavor. Western brewing probably should have 1 or 2 mini-steeps of a minute or so before brewing a longer 3 steep. Im still trying to get an exciting cup (the dry and wet leaves smell so wonderful), and Ill eventually manage it, I think.

Jin Yin Hua - Herbal TeaOne of my favorite herbal teas I've had, and it also works well if mixed with other teas. Don't expect the taste of actual, bloomed honeysuckle though!

Ying De Hong Cha - Black TeaAn excellent black tea which really shows its beauty with a cloud of milk and red sugar added, like no other black tea I have tasted. Milk and sugar only enough to enhance the flavor of the tea not to overpower it.

An Ji Bai Cha - Green TeaI can't get over how great this tea is. This tea has become a daily staple. Quite subtle, no hint of bitterness. I can't find it in my heart to criticize this tea. If you haven't tried it yet, you need to. Yes, it is more expensive than other greens, but it is well worth the price.

Shuang Long Xi Zhu - Green TeaThis is a very pleasant sweet and nutty tea. However, if you're deciding which Gong Yi Tea to get first, get Bu Bu Gao Sheng first. It's better.

Shuang Long Xi Zhu - Green TeaA rather incredible flowering tea. Though I rarely indulge in such teas, this one is by far the most beautiful of the few that I've come across. Definitely an impressive tea.

Huang shan Chrysanthemum - Herbal TeaGood herbal tea. Goes great almost with all green teas, adding a hint of sweetness and spice.

Emperor Long Jing - Green TeaA wee bit too vegetal for me, but a lovely floral nose and new mown hay flavour. Smooth refreshing. I know it may seem odd, but, I really enjoy this tea cool, especially in the warmth of early summer. The middle infusions were very asparagus-y; yet it became, softer, rounder and sweeter toward the finish. A thick, grassy mouth-feel, without astringency or bitterness. Tender, vulnerable leaves. This tea must be drunk quickly. I hasten to think the gentility of the flavour may dull.

Huang shan Chrysanthemum - Herbal TeaI first tried chrysanthemum tea in Singapore and loved it. This tea tastes different to me, and seems a bit lighter in flavor, even though I used more flowers. But, it's still a lovely cooling tea with a pleasing aroma, and I will enjoy it both hot and iced.
