ReviewsQian Ri Hong - Herbal TeaInteresting tea that I have never tried before. I was very pleased with the first pot I brewed. This tea has an intriguing smell that I could not quite place, and held through more than one brewing. I recommend this tea as an interesting herbal.

2008 Da Hei Shan Raw Cake - Pu-erh TeaThis pu-erh has a bitter, mineral, earthy taste with a medium body. Hints of honey or fruit are apparent too. The leaves are intact and nice looking. I do not drink a lot of pu-erh, but this BDDHS is is a good introduction to this class of tea. I would recommend this pu-erh for its assertive qualities and it's low price.

Lion Xi Hu Long Jing - Green TeaA little more cereal than last years. Still not as cereal as emperor LJ of this year. This LJ has a beautiful fruity/citrus character that makes it a very refreshing green. I think I still prefer the emperor slightly.

Jiu Hua Fo Cha - Green TeaThe aroma is terrific. I steeped this tea at about 180 degrees for one minute. A very nice, delicate flavor. I enjoy it very much.

Bi Luo Chun Hong Cha - Black TeaSmooth malty taste, with little bitterness at all. The taste is strong and full bodied. Some fragrance, but not much. The color is a lovely deep dark red. I could not find one particular note that stood out, but it was nevertheless very satisfying. The tea leaves are fresh and well-prepared. Wonderful ability to infuse over and over again. Although the first infusion was the best, I could still get good color and flavor out of several infusions. A quality product offered at a bargain price. Highly recommended.

2011 Gao Li Gong Shan Raw Mini Tuo Cha - Pu-erh TeaWonderfully mild, aromatic, with a beautiful color. A bit on the expensive side in my opinion.

2005 Xiaguan Teji Raw Tuo Cha - Pu-erh TeaYes, it is quite smoky (barbecue sauce may be a bit of an extreme analogy). It's a good, affordable everyday Pu Erh, and I expect with a couple years of aging, it'll mellow out into a very drinkable tea. It can be quite difficult to break off the first leaves from the cake.

Ting Xi Lan Xiang - Green TeaOne of my favorite green teas. Keep the water temperature low, around 70 C.

Cha Wang Tai Ping - Green TeaI guess its the best tea I've ever had. I mostly drink different grades of Japanese green tea. I have had very good dragons well., but I like this better. Aroma, color, taste are all great. What makes this different is the psychoactive character. Mellow, tranquilizing, grounding, awesome head.

Bai Lin Gong Fu Hong Cha - Black TeaThis is a very good tea. Had I not discovered Yunnan Pure Gold, I would probably still drink this tea. The leaves are simply gorgeous with so many golden colors standing out in front of a rich, dark tapestry. The unbrewed scent is a little lighter and more like apricot than honey. The soup itself is a clear, yellowish brown and the scent gains some complexity of pepper scent. The flavor is bold and leans more toward the pepper side of things as well, which many people prefer. Perhaps a little more astringent than the Yunnan Pure Gold. Very good complexity, though, and I recommend you try it.

Huang shan Chrysanthemum - Herbal TeaThe tea arrived promptly and is delicious!!! The taste is perfect, just what I remembered it like when I had it in the Chinese tea houses. With a few goji berries and a pinch of sugar it's just lovely! Thanks!!!

Jiu Hua Fo Cha - Green TeaStrong and nice, but, acutally, nothing really special. Worth buying for common, everyday drinking.

Huang shan Chrysanthemum - Herbal TeaDelicate, sweet, not strong taste. Found this to be excellent with an addition of a hint of anis. Alone maybe even a bit too delicate.
